Terms of use

1. The service and who runs it

Beyond SFI is a web service for practising everyday Swedish. It is run by TK Digital Experiences AB, company registration number 559484-4341, Götaverksgatan 24, 417 55 Göteborg, Sweden ("we").

Beyond SFI is independent. We have no connection to Skolverket, Komvux or any municipality. A Beyond SFI certificate is not a grade.

2. Your account

You need an account to practise. You create it with your e-mail address or with Google. You must be at least 16 years old.

The account is yours. Do not share your password. Enter your real name if you want a certificate with the right name on it.

We may close an account that is used against these terms, for example to harm the service or other people.

3. What is free

Certain courses are free. In a free course the basic exercises, the exam and the basic certificate (name, course, date, verification code) are free, and you never have to pay to finish the course and get the certificate. Later there may also be courses that cost money. Their price is shown at the course before you start.

We may rebuild, improve and replace courses and exercises.

4. Beyond SFI Plus

Beyond SFI Plus ("Plus") is a paid add-on: AI feedback on what you write, say and hear, Plus exercises (for example chats with an AI conversation partner) and your results on the certificate.

You must be at least 18 years old to buy Plus. If you are 16 or 17, you need your parent's or guardian's consent before you buy.

Plus is bought as a subscription for 1, 6 or 12 months. You see the price before you pay. Prices are in Swedish kronor and include VAT. Payment goes through our payment provider Stripe, which is the seller to you and handles payment, receipts and refunds under its terms. On the right of withdrawal, see 4.2.

Plus starts as soon as the payment is complete. The subscription renews automatically at the end of the period, at the same price, until you cancel it. You cancel whenever you like before the next renewal, on your account page or in your Link account at link.com (Link is the Stripe service that handles your purchase and shows on your receipt and bank statement). Plus then runs until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. No commitment.

Prices may change. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we e-mail you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

4.1 Fair use

Every feedback and every chat costs us money at the AI services. So Plus has a limit: up to 10 feedbacks and 5 chats a day. On up to three days per 30 days the limit doubles automatically, so an intensive day is fine.

There is also a cost ceiling per 30 days that keeps every subscription sustainable. If an account reaches the ceiling, new feedback and new chats pause until older use falls out of the 30-day window. Everything else in the course keeps working. The ceiling is only reached at very heavy use, far beyond a normal study day.

Plus is personal and may not be shared with others or used automatically by programs.

4.2 Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you buy Plus. Plus starts immediately at your request when you pay. If you withdraw within 14 days, you get back what you paid, minus a part that matches the time you had Plus. Before you pay, we ask you to confirm that Plus should start right away.

You withdraw with the button "Withdraw from the contract here" under Account › Plus. It is there for the whole withdrawal period. You can also e-mail hej@beyond-sfi.se and say that you withdraw from the purchase of Plus. You do not need to give a reason. Plus ends at once, you get a confirmation by e-mail with the time we received your withdrawal, and the money is paid back within 14 days to the payment method you used.

5. Promo codes and free samples

A free account can try: one feedback on a text, one feedback on a Listen and write exercise and one chat, each once. After that they are part of Plus.

A promo code gives Plus for a set time, for example 30 days. You see the date when you activate the code. When the time is up, the account becomes a free account again by itself. You do not need to cancel anything, and nothing is charged to your card. A code can be used once per account.

6. The certificate

When you have completed a course you get a Beyond SFI certificate with your name, the course, the date and a verification code. Anyone with the code can check the certificate on our website. You decide who you show it to.

The certificate shows what you have completed with us. It is not a grade from Skolverket and gives no eligibility for studies.

With Plus, your results (chapters, exercises, exam score) are shown on the certificate. They stay there even after Plus ends.

7. AI feedback and chats

The feedback and the chat partner's replies come from AI. They are usually right, but not always. Ask a teacher when in doubt. We do not promise that the feedback is free of errors.

Do not write or say real personal data in the exercises, neither your own nor other people's. Make up names, addresses and numbers. How the AI services handle what you send is described in the privacy policy.

8. How the service may be used

Use Beyond SFI to learn Swedish. You may not use the service to harm others, spread illegal or abusive content, try to get into other people's accounts, disrupt the service or copy the content to distribute it.

The courses' texts, audio, images and exercises belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning.

9. Your data

How we handle your personal data is described in the privacy policy. It is part of these terms.

10. Closing the account

You can delete your account whenever you like on your account page. Your data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy. A running Plus subscription ends; periods already paid are not refunded beyond what Stripe's terms provide.

We may end the service or a course. We then e-mail you in good time, and a paid Plus subscription is refunded for the remaining time.

11. Changes to the terms

We may change the terms. For major changes we e-mail you at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not want that, you can delete your account.

12. Liability

We do our best to keep the service working and the content correct, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. We are not liable for results that rely on AI feedback, nor for decisions you or others make based on a certificate.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Swedish law.

13. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. If you have a complaint, e-mail us first and we will try to solve it. As a consumer you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
